TheDevilofDrakewood Difficulty: Level 4
Something has been stalking the sunny paths and lush glades of Drakewood, terrifying all who seek its splendid shelter. Even the animals have fled the forest. Does this mean the return of the dragon for which the forest was named? Or do the tracks of cloven hooves found on the woodland's borders portend a more bedeviling menace?

Final Encounter Text
Success Results Failure Results

NAME finally found the suspicious tracks and followed them. He/she almost bumped into the legion devil as it was licking the blood of a recent kill off its longsword.

NAME ATTACKED the devil in the back and then dove into the underbrush. Now wounded and angry, it whirled left and right searching for NAME. Thinking quickly, NAME grabbed a flexible branch and slowly pulled it back. When the devil noticed the torn leaves and approached, he/she released the branch. It whipped the demon in the eyes, blinding it long enough for NAME to get in the killing blow.

NAME ATTACKED the devil in the back and then dove into the underbrush. At such close range it was rather shameful that his/her aim was so far off that the devil was only grazed. It whirled furiously left and right, searching for NAME. Thinking quickly, NAME grabbed a flexible branch and slowly pulled it back. When the devil noticed the torn leaves and approached, he/she released the branch. The branch knocked the sword from the demon's hand but it was otherwise unharmed. Even without it's weapon the demon was able to best NAME. Wounded and outmatched, NAME grabbed the demon's dropped weapon and fled for his/her life.
